Jim did more plumbing this morning...he made blocking and mounted the valve control box for the refrigerator.

Then did all the drilling for the cold water line to the refrigerator and the hot water line to the dishwasher.

He moved into the laundry room and got the holes drilled for the lines coming up for the washer.

He's pretty much convinced that he is going to put a T connection in the kitchen lines for both the refrigerator and dishwasher as opposed to dedicated lines.  So he put the elbow connections on the ceiling.  However, he's not 100% sure so he'll leave finishing those lines until last.

These elbow connections (in black) are for the washer.

Next, he put primer on the block wall in the utility room.  We decided that we are going to paint this area before Jim puts all the manifolds and lines on the wall.  So that's an upcoming task - find a good paint color!

He then moved upstairs to the apartment to work on rigid foam insulation.  You can see that he made all the custom baffle ends for the valley walls in the kitchen.  Then he started installing the baffles.

Doing baffle work...

After that, we moved on to insulating the kitchen ceiling.  All that was left (besides lights and fans which will be last) was really hard spots so it was good to tackle them this afternoon.  Some required acrobatics to reach...

Jim wanted to put some angle on in this area to hold the insulation better because the insulation is going over the dropped ceiling for the banquette area.

More acrobatics...

Every space had wires or blocking to work around...

But all the major kitchen areas are done!

The next area was the lower ceiling height area in the kitchen, extending into the laundry room.

Finishing up that cavity.

Lots of good progress on many fronts today - it was an on/off drizzly afternoon and we had to stop a little earlier because it's a Holy Day and we are headed to church.
