5.22.2017

The weather was a bit cooler with some on/off showers, so it was a perfect day to work inside!

Jim worked on Pex this morning - trying to come up with a way to mount the tubing on the underside of the deck.  He made these brackets and attached the Pex clips to that.  He has plans to modify this approach so stay tuned!

Poor Jim is in the doghouse!  Well, not really but he certainly is working in tight quarters.  He's working on installing more rigid foam board behind the closet area in the second bedroom.

He had to come up with a way to make his own baffle system in the weird-shaped valley areas.

The foam board is attached to the side of the closet - this will also make a good backing for the wall insulation.

Then we switched to the fiberglass insulation on the front kitchen wall.  Every one of these cavities presents a challenge - like this first one that is in the corner with a wall in front of it!

Besides around the window area which have to be wait until we can use blown-in insulation, the eating area is finished and Jim is moving on to the main kitchen wall.

There are brackets, wiring, switch boxes, and lots of weird shapes to contend with in this area!

But the main portions are all finished!
