9.18.2016

After a little rain overnight, there was still a possibility of showers today (although none materialized), so Jim decided that he was going to work on electric jobs inside since Sundays are our short days.

He got the cans mounted for the stairwell - we are going to have the smaller one remain on all the time to provide a little light throughout the whole stairwell.

Then it was time to get power into the stairwell.  Jim first had to drill through the wall...

He had to use conduit through the wall space because of the steel and then ran power through the ceiling...

This box on the landing is our first wired outlet in the stairwell.  Not sure we'll ever need an outlet on the landing, but better to have one and not need it!  Maybe a little Christmas tree would look nice in this corner...

Because it rained overnight, the shingles I painted yesterday were a little damp.  We didn't want to stack them when they were wet, so I put out some of our wall studs and carried the shingles upstairs and set them out to dry.

Then we moved the sawhorses inside in case of any more rain and I was able to get another batch painted.  We may have to step up the painting schedule - Jim will start going through them pretty quickly once he gets away from all the tedious trim and gable areas.
