8.23.2015

We had two goals for the day - finish up the screws in the rafters and then move the scaffolding out of the auto bay area.  We hope to pour concrete soon so we have to get the rest of the floor ready with HydroFoam and then put the Pex tubing down.

So Jim got busy finishing up all the screws in the hip rafters.  He then put some more plywood spacers between the first rafter and the sheathing to really fasten it down well to provide extra strength.

Then it was time to start dismantling scaffolding.

Wow - a clean view of the beginning roof structure!

All empty - ready to start this work tomorrow.

We brought all the scaffolding around to the back.  Jim wants to build up a whole wall of scaffolding so that we can continue sheathing and then start building more walls!

He's dismantling this tower - he'll use these pieces later on.  It's kind of a puzzle with so many different sizes of scaffolding to decide what to use when.

We had to cut the day short as planned - the prospective concrete contractor gave Jim a couple of slabs he just poured.  We are going to go look at them and go to church in Saratoga.
