8.15.2015

Jim worked this morning doing what we call his Mad Max work - more heavy metal supports for the landing.  There is a lot of intricate work to make these supports fit tight.

Then it was more sheathing - Jim carrying another piece up onto the deck.

Wow!  Now you can really see the door opening into the shop as well as the beginning of the rough opening for the door into the apartment!  Of course, now it's getting a little tougher to get up/down from the deck - Jim has no problem scrambling around but I'm more of a chicken.  Jim always finds the easiest way for me to get down the ladder which is much appreciated!

Marking where the screws will go and getting ready to fasten this piece down.

Cutting the next piece...

...and bringing it up onto the deck.

All the sheathing is in place on this side for now - and looks amazing!

It's really being a room inside the shop now - two sides are completely closed off!

There were threats of rain and we had a few sprinkles this afternoon, so we had decided to go to church this evening.  So unfortunately we had to quit a little early.  Jim got enough screws to hold the last piece into place and we'll finish it up tomorrow.
