11.9.2014

As if he didn't have enough to do, Jim went to start the compactor the other day and it wouldn't start.  So he got a new spark plug and even tried starting fluid, and it just won't run.  Kind of odd because it's started up immediately every time we've gone to use it.  Today he started looking into the carburetor and it looks kind of gunked up.  So that's another thing on the agenda.

But today was finishing up house wrap day!  Again, this is just temporary to keep the UV rays from breaking down the foam.  This afternoon, we worked on the outside of the building.

Cutting open the garage door opening...

...and stapling the wrap to the door frame.

Continuing on to the next garage door...

Of course, we ran out of furring strips so Jim had to cut more pieces.

My job was to be in charge of the roll and hold it in place for Jim.

Jim cut around the step area so it was easier to attach to the foam with less chance of wind catching any loose pieces.

Then I cut strips of wrap from the door openings and step areas which we used for the bottom of the inside...

...and around the brick ledges.

All done!  I told Jim that even though this is temporary, the house wrap really makes it look like a house!
