7.11.2020

This morning, I heard the turkeys making a different noise than their typical gobbling - more like a loud squawking.  I looked out the back window and saw some turkeys and then saw a fox nearby.  But then out the kitchen window, Jim spotted 5 baby turkeys!  So obviously the mama turkeys were protecting their babies from the fox.  These are the smallest ones we've seen on the property.

They hung around for awhile on the driveway...

We got some rain overnight and on/off today from Tropical Storm Fay so it was an inside work day.  We ordered a ladder for use in the kitchen so I can reach all my tall cabinets!  Jim unpacked it and brought it upstairs...

Our new shelf clips came in the mail yesterday too so he was able to put those in...

Then he put the shelf in and I filled it up!  So the glassware cabinet is completely done with all its shelves!

Jim starting to glue the cabinet door together...

All glued and drying...

The rest of the day, Jim focused his attention down in the auto bay.  He first put up the pieces of plywood that he cut to use as mounting plates for the pilaster framing...

Then attaching the framing pieces...

Done!

Now that the framing is done, Jim can continue putting up the PVC baseboards...

This section is done...

Moving to the front section between the garage doors...

Since the concrete floor isn't completely flat, Jim has to do a little modifying of the baseboard pieces if there is a slight hump in the concrete there...

Baseboard finished in this section...

Then Jim started attaching the plywood mounting boards on the front pilaster...
