10.2.2019

It was an on/off drizzly day so Jim spent the morning in the wood shop.  We are in for some colder temperatures (below freezing at night!) so Jim wanted to get the access door into the auto bay attic finished.  He first had to do milling to inset the door seal...

Millwork all done...

A coat of primer...

Putting primer on the door frame...

 Door is all primed...

Then Jim tried a few small pieces of the door seal to make sure it all worked - and it does!  We have to decide on door color and finish before he will get everything completely finished.

Jim had to decide how to finish the inside walls of the dormer.  He decided to make a rafter extension so that the wall will come out at a good angle to the wall.  He had three rafters to make - they required cutting off almost all of one of the flanges.  He got those all made.

High 65/Low 37 - drizzly
