7.5.2019

Jim and I have had fun lately watching the foxes on the property roll around, chase each other, play dead, play king of the hill on the gravel piles.  All good fun.  Until last night.  I was trying to get to sleep when I heard these crazy loud, screaming banshee noises.  On repeat.  We discovered it was an adult fox probably warning the young of a danger - maybe all the fireworks you could hear last night?  Check it out below - sure was crazy and went on for quite awhile!

This morning, Jim worked in the pole barn emptying out some of the things he had stored in the auto bay and getting them rearranged in their new home.

Then he brought up some gravel and built up the area by the garage door opening...

It's been two weeks since the concrete floor was poured so Jim brought in the Bobcat for the first time!

It looks good in its spot!

Jim took the rest of the gravel that he had and spread it out in our turnaround spot.  He'll widen it up a bit the next time we get gravel, but this definitely marks the turnaround.  We get random delivery drivers here and we don't want anyone driving over our leach field.

Once the shade was over the front of the pole barn, Jim started working on putting up the flashing in the front.  In the back he had the scaffolding, so working backwards on the ladder wasn't quite as easy!

Once he got flashing on both sides, he was able to start putting in the soffit pieces.

About halfway done!

Jim had to get some grass cut to end out the day.
