5.10.2018

I had to do some parts runs this morning - heading out to the plumbing supply store as well as to get more paint at Home Depot.  It's really pretty here right now - spring has set in and the trees are beginning to leaf out.  However, coming home I noticed that the ski slopes still have some remnants of snow left!

Jim worked on placing the exhaust vent in the wall cavity this morning.  As the vent pipe come up from below, it all has to line up so Jim built some spacers and blocking.  He also uses this to attach the brackets that hold the vent in place.

He also had to perform surgery on the medicine cabinet.  Both sides had to be carefully cut - you can see how close the bottom screws are!  He put it back together with some caulk to hold it in place.  After it sets up, he'll do the other side and hopefully he can make this work!

The kitchen walls look really amazing all painted - love the way the valleys turned out!

Jim also started unpacking some of the baseboard heaters to start thinking about placement and figuring out the rest of the pieces we need to buy.  These go on after the flooring but Jim always has to stay a job or so ahead so that he's prepared.

He also got the last flange attached to the shower base....

In the afternoon, it was back to painting in the hallway.

Rolling on the paint...

There is a lot of trim work in this area too besides just ceilings.

The hallway is looking amazing!

It was a Holy Day so we went to church this evening and then stopped to have some nachos to celebrate all of our latest accomplishments - and there's been lots!
