Jim's making good progress on the insulation in the stairwell...

Jim spent time doing some finishing work outside - he did the touchup painting on the fascia boards and finished installing some of the trim boards that go underneath the fascia.

As luck would happen, Jim had planned to use some pieces of trim board to complete the fascia on the stairwell.  However, he ended up being 1" shy of having enough!  So for Plan B, he moved one piece of fascia board down.  To do this, he made a jig to help hold the end in place until he could get the fascia board tucked underneath the drip edge.

Since he has to order another piece, he'll take the left side piece off and will just make one bigger piece to finish the fascia in this area.

Jim ordered a load of gravel to be spread on our new section of upper driveway.  We are supposed to get some rain tomorrow so Jim wants to try and prevent too much runoff.  We marked the area for the driver with marking paint and stakes.

Mid-afternoon, the stone came!

The upper driveway looks good!  It probably looks much better now because Jim later took the Bobcat and did a little flattening in areas.

After the driver left, Jim headed to the lumberyard.  This was another task he wanted to get done before rain tomorrow.  He plans on using some of this white pine for door jambs.

Once he got back and unloaded the new wood and made sure our painted trim boards were brought inside, Jim brought another load of sand back and continued building up the back corner.  You can see getting close to where it needs to be!
