Jim did more insulation work in the stairwell today...

Most of the day was spent doing important outside work.  Jim worked this morning to attach the knee braces to the brick.  He had to bore out the hole in the brace a bit in order to be able to get the nut on the end of the threaded rod that he anchored into the wall.  Everything came out perfectly!

As you can see, he even hung up Ghostie.  Ghostie has been part of the family for decades and always hung outside the house or pole barn during the Halloween season.  Nice to see him flying again in his new home!

Then he worked on fitting all of the trim boards around the garage doors.

These are up just temporarily to get the right fit...

Jim cut a bevel on the bottom to match the slope of the garage door.  He wanted the boards to be a tad off the garage floor just to prevent any issues.  He'll caulk this gap later.

Working on the other garage door - this was a little more difficult because this garage door isn't operational right now.

This trim board basically covers up all the exposed insulated concrete foam in the building!

While Jim was working on the trim boards, I was making more loose insulation...

Once Jim had all the trim boards fit, he took them all down except for the top pieces.

Then I primed all the edges as well as painted the rest of the trim boards gray for use on the stairwell.

Jim primed the edges of the top trim boards in place...

Jim spent the little remaining part of the day getting things ready to install the security light on the stairwell.

High 69/Low 41 - beautiful!
