10.5.2023

Was anyone else thinking about the time change in the middle of the night?  While Jim and I like Standard Time better, we don't like having to adjust our bodies and all the clocks!  But the early evenings just make for more cozy time.

While he was changing clocks, Jim did some other miscellaneous house chores this morning, like cleaning the filters in the air conditioning units.

In the shop, he went back to cutting purlins...

The bottom purlins for the sides had to be thinner, plus he still had to bevel the underneath so that it would lie flat against the beam - definitely made for a complicated cut...

The first one is all in place!  This was the test, so he'll make the other pieces tomorrow.

He cut the tail ends so that this joint is done...

He spent most of his time carving all the cuts for the end purlin on the other side...

Cuts are all done!

Then he loaded up the planks that will make up the roof structure...

He unloaded them onto the scaffolding so they're ready!
