Jim took on two giant and stressful jobs today - and on a shorter working day because of church.  He started the day off by transferring all my files (and I have a ton of files!) from my previous iMac to my new pink one... 

Then he decided to grout the tile behind the stove - doing some prep work...

Doing all the precise grout ingredient measuring...

Then mixing it up...

That's some dark grout!  This is the grout and color that the tile store recommended for the tile.  However, once Jim started, he realized it was sanded grout - not the unsanded he would typically use for a job with such small joints.

So that made the application process much more difficult than he had anticipated - plus it was much messier...

First clean up...

We did probably 3 or 4 different cleaning cycles...

Final clean up done and everything is drying...

The grout still has some drying to do and Jim will probably do some touch up cleaning tomorrow but it looks gorgeous and just how we imagined it would!

In between all the tile work, Jim was setting up my new computer on my desk and then getting things set up with logins and configurations.  It fits better than my old one did in this space - it's perfect!
