Happy Labor Day!  Hope everyone had a great day.  This is always a good day to be grateful to all of those workers who do those jobs that no one really thinks about - and those that we do!  It was a nice, cool, slow rainy day today so it was inside jobs for us.

Jim worked in the shop in the morning, taking some time to organize and put away job tools.  Then after lunch, it was time to start fixing the holes in the wall from the air conditioning job.  The air conditioning works wonderfully when we use it, so he's confident to close everything up.  First is one of those nasty jobs - insulation.  This is really just soundproofing between rooms, but Jim got new insulation stuffed in...

And the paper covering back in place...

Jim made plywood shoulders so that he is able to attach the drywall...

Screwing the shoulders in place...

He had numbered the drywall squares as he removed them, so it fit back perfectly and Jim was able to attach the sides to the shoulders...

Then he could attach the middle back to the metal stud...

The he repeated that process for the other two holes - looks great!

Mixing up plaster - he'll start taping the seams tomorrow...

High 62.4/Low 58.3 - rainy
