9.11.2022

We bought a commercial treadmill when Jim retired from NASA (almost 25 years ago!).  It has served us well and has well over 12,000 miles on it.  We're looking at getting a new one but needed to spiffy this one up and see if we can get rid of it.  Jim took the cover off and we gave it a good cleaning.  He took some "after" pictures and will put it on Craigslist.

The main goal today was to get rid of our log pile at the edge of the woods in front of the original stone wall.  Jim took about 10 trips deep into the woods to stash them...

Last log...

Wow - how great does this area look?  We hope to rebuild this part of the wall this fall and will eventually carry it across the property to rejoin the front side.

Jim did a bit more crumbing of the driveway before putting the machines away.  While he put the treadmill back together, I put grass seed down in the front triangle.  We are supposed to get some rain over the next day so it's a good time to overseed.

A few nature pictures on this Sunday.  Jim caught a picture of the deer family - the deer on the right is much grayer than the others and is the first buck we have seen on the property.  One of his antlers appears to be broken off.

Jim also rescued this tiny baby turtle that was crossing the driveway - how cute is it?  He put him in the woods in the direction of the wetland area not too far away.

Jim also spent time taking down my tubs of Depression glass - Mom and I packed it all up today.  Then he brought up the fall dishes - we'll work on putting those away next!
