 Once Jim got his tools and equipment out, it was back up on the roof to put up more shingles...

Cutting the drip edge pieces for the very top on both sides...

Back to shingles...

At this point, each piece needs to be cut at the top...

Putting up the next-to-last course...

Shingles are just about done!

Hand cutting the two top pieces to go around the rake...

I had been cutting some shingles for Jim and Mom had asked how hard it was - so she took a try!  

Unfortunately, the next step is ugly.  In order to put flashing between the existing gable end and the new roof, Jim has to take off the siding...

This is a work in progress - tomorrow is another day!  Today we'll celebrate that the shingles are almost done!
