Jim started the day off in the metal shop, just doing final touch ups before skim coating probably tomorrow...

Then it was back to work in the stairwell - he got the next piece cut and fastened.  These two pieces go down to the floor which is underneath the stairs in the control room, so a bit complicated...

Speaking of complicated, this next piece had to go around the conduit plus had different heights...

But it fit first time so Jim got busy fastening...

Then one more piece up...

Jim had called the septic company this morning to see what time they thought they would be out - they said probably between noon and 2:00 but she thought closer to noon.  So Jim took the covers off the tanks and was ready...

They showed up about 2:00 and got ready for the pumping...

Cue the Cousin Eddie jokes if you're a Christmas Vacation movie fan!

I always look at these clean outs as a report card of sorts on how we are doing keeping our septic system healthy - and we got an A+ report for our first time!  He said whatever we are doing to keep it up.  We won't have to have it done for 2-3 more years so that's good too.

After they left and Jim got the covers back on, he had to head into Saratoga to pick up the bolts for the concrete cart - finally.  It's good that Jim had ones that worked because we wouldn't have been able to use it.  Once he was home, he did what was probably the final lawn mowing of the season for the grass on the sides of the driveway.
