10.1.2020

Jim had to fast for his physical bloodwork so we had decided that when he was done at the lab we would use that as an excuse to have our first takeout/restaurant food since March when the world changed.  We decided to try a new doughnut place in Saratoga Springs that has been a huge hit - they open at 9:00 in the morning and are typically sold out and closed by noon.

They have different selections all the time and even mini doughnuts so we got a few different kinds to sample - and they were all wonderful; the best doughnuts we've ever had.  They make fritters available at noon so we may have to try those sometime.

We brought the doughnuts home (okay, we actually ate one in the car) - once we were done, Jim headed back down into the auto bay.  He started putting up the lights on the newly-painted wall...

Both lights mounted and wired in - let there be light!

That job done meant that Jim can take apart the scaffolding in the auto bay now...

He got the frames taken up and stored in the shed and the platforms and cross braces put in the pole barn...

While he was in the pole barn, Jim went up into the attic and brought down my Halloween decoration boxes - hard to believe it's October already!

Then he started taping off the floor area to get ready for wall painting...

Starting the trim work...

Working with the small roller to get the corners and trim...

Then it was time to start working on the walls...

Continuing down the wall...

This wall is done and looks fabulous - he's doing the trim work on the back wall and will paint it tomorrow.

Our Corian sink color samples came in the mail today - can you tell the difference between White Frost and Glacier White?  We're going with the Glacier White (on the right side).  Jim will be able to call tomorrow and order the sink and another sheet of Corian - very excited!
