Happy Memorial Day - while people aren't gathering for holiday celebrations as in the past, hopefully we'll all take a few moments today to remember all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country!

Last evening, Jim heard a big flapping noise while in the living room and spotted one of the turkeys up in the tree!  It's amazing to me that these giant turkeys can fly and roost in such high trees as well. You can see how tall this tree is...

But this is a better view of the turkey.  Of course, we enjoy looking at them but the last few mornings they have woken us up with loud gobbling.  Since the tree butcher cut down where we think they lived in the past, they must have taken up residence in the woods right behind us.

Down in the shop this morning, Jim sanded the other side of the face frames and then put a coat of primer on...

Other face frame primed and drying...

Jim decided that he is going to attach these two cabinets together so that the fronts are totally flat - he has these special flat fasteners to do that...

Last polyurethane on these cabinet pieces!

Jim spent time in the auto bay moving things out of the bays that will be epoxied.  The Mini will have to be taken off its dollies and moved out but today the cover came off.  Makes me want to go for a ride!  Sadly, we have to wait until the DMV opens again because Jim has to trade in license plates and you can only do that in person.

Today it was the 4Runner's time to get a coat of wax...

All done and looking awfully spiffy!

We also got a few things organized to donate to the Habitat ReStore.  It's still closed but you can drop off donations by appointment, so we'll do that soon.

With a little time before he hit the treadmill, Jim did some trimming around the carriage house.

High 74/Low 59 - beautiful!
