12.8.2019

This was the temperature when I woke up this morning - much, more colder than they had predicted! We continue to be so grateful that we got our propane tank filled up!

The drawer factor work continued - Jim has all the rabbet cuts for the bottom piece in the various drawer groupings...

Next he had to sand all the pieces...

Putting the first coat of polyurethane on...

They look so pretty!

For drawers, we really like the finger pull look so Jim started working on those for the drawer fronts. He needs to order a smaller blade for the band saw but he was able to make lots of little cuts with the bandsaw to form the shape.  Then he will use his drum sander bit on the drill press to smooth all those ridges out.

We were deciding between two different sizes and Jim made the bigger one on some scrap wood for us to get a look at in the kitchen.  We decided to go with the slightly smaller size.

Unfortunately, Jim can't find his drum sanding bit that size; he'll keep looking but he'll probably order a new one.  Meanwhile, he used the band saw to make the initial cuts...
