7.18.2025

What a glorious summer day!  After some warmer days, the 70° temperatures felt wonderful.  I even got to sit outside in the courtyard with Mom today, which was nice.

It was also the perfect day to work on the shed room.  Jim first wanted to try bending some shingles to use on either ends to bring the level up to where it will be when the roof vent material is added.  He used his heat gun...

Bending while warm...

They turned out perfectly...

First end pieces up...

Jim has to cut the underlayment to allow the roof to breathe, then put down the roof vent material, then finally the ridge shingles.  First he started by marking lines on the roof to keep everything straight, and then got busy!

Working down the ridge...

Cutting more underlayment as he continues...

Rolling out the vent material...

A view from up on top of all the stages - underlayment cut, vent fabric next and then shingles...

Looking great...

Almost done...

Jim came down to cut the last three shingles on the shear...

Last three!

A thumbs up that the roof work is finished!

Looks fabulous!

High 76.3/Low 62.2 - beautiful!
