After doing his computer work, Jim made a pigtail so that he could access power from the meter pedestal. He had to put in another breaker for the pigtail as well...
Jim had to move the braces up closer to the top in anticipation of getting our beams...
Then he measured and got the jig in the right place for the next mortise...
Plugging into the pigtail - no more generator!
The multi-purpose tool worked so much better than using generator power...
Once he went around and scored the shape, starting to chisel...
Using his boring bit on the drill...
But then as he was drilling, he hit a broken-off nail in the post, which then totally messed up his bit...
He had to use a punch to push it out through the hole...
Using his Dremel tool to try and sharpen the bit...
It worked better, but by this time it was getting late. He cleaned up and then spent more time sharpening the bit again. We'll try again tomorrow!
Never ceases to amaze...we had some brief hard rain cells pass through last evening - but you'd never know it looking at the bare dirt. Not a muddy spot to be found.
