12.16.2022

As I write this, we are still in the middle of our winter (fall?) storm.  This picture was from first thing this morning when we had 4-5".  Now it looks like we have at least 8" of new snow and it's still coming down.  Jim isn't going to plow until tomorrow when it stops.  Sure has been a pretty day to be inside!

This was the result of Jim's errands yesterday - he got wood at Lowe's and siding panels and trim pieces at ABC Roofing.

The panels are really pretty and were worth the wait time!  It matches what we used on the pole barn, except that the profile is smaller so it will be a better fit with the size of the box...

So that means he was able to continue work on the drop box.  He got the door all squared perfectly, made and welded a handle on the side, and put bumpers on the frame so it would close nicely.  These are self-closing hinges so it will be so nice; we won't have to worry about shutting the door with full arms.

Drip edge attached...

Jim also hung a new tarp up between the stored cars and the rest of the shop, just so that there's another layer of protection when Jim is grinding or welding.

High 32.3/Low 31.2 - 8"+ snowfall
